Jackie Bent is a 28 year old woman, from Adamawa state in Nigeria. She currently lives in the capital city, Abuja. She is the second of four daughters. Also, a daughter of popular politician Senator Grace Bent. She is a single mother of 1, Nathan who is 8 years old. Jackie is a goal getter and prides herself in her ability to create solutions to any problem.

Jackie graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2012 where she earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management and International Strategic Enterprise and masters degree in International Fashion Business. She speaks her first language English as well as her native Nigerian languages, Hausa and Yoruba.

Upon graduating from university, Jackie worked with luxury department store Selfrdges in London as a Sales Associate for a year before returning home to Nigeria where she began her mandatory call to service (NYSC) for a year and worked as a project Manager at Tangents Resources. Upon completion of her service year, she worked as a Manager at Bnatural Med Spa (Abuja branch), Nigerias biggest med-spa company. She was instrumental in helping the business reach a unique demographic of younger clients and setting up a cafe to serve the spa customers.

 

She then ventured into starting up her own fashion Business in 2016. She launched her brand Lureino Bent Fashion and began selling trendy womenswear online. In 2018, she expanded her business and lounged her first physical store in Abuja.

Jackie planned many weddings and events for friends and family and always dreamed of becoming a professional planner. Following her dream of becoming a wedding and event planner, earned her wedding planner certification online from Lovegevity’s Wedding Planning Institute (LWPI) in 2020. She then launched her own Wedding and Event planning company; Jackie Bent Signature Weddings and Events.

She has been recognised by the Women in Entertainment (WIE) as a pace setter. As a business woman, she believes in the saying that “where there is a will, there is always a way”. This enables her remain productive and creative when under pressure.

In her spare time, Jackie enjoys organising, travel, watching movies and spending quality time with close friends and family. She has a passion for charity, fashion, business and planning events.
